Faerie Land has always existed to me; like a parallel universe and almost tangible the more I let my mind wander. I believe in it. I made this series to bring to life these characters that have influenced me since childhood. Inspired by Bruno Bettelheim’s Uses of Enchantment, I wanted to make something as beautiful, magical, dark, and deeply symbolic as the stories, illustrations, and films that I have loved for years. Through my work, I want to continue to create my own Faerie Land that I can share with others. I think this was the beginning.
